They have added up some spices like that sand man to get the Spidey going, and that alien stuff too, which enters partly to his body – making him more smart (which was good for sometime) at least for the movie sake, and than spoiling that other temporary worker in the news agency where he works (his girlfriend was even better and more kooler than the girl Spidey gets), same footage story – she doesn’t gets any and the Spidey gal sings songs for which she gets fired (Good better).
His friend Harry takes the cake- at least from my side, he is too kool, what a great smile and what an awesome look he has throughout the movie – yeah yeah – Spidey gets all the footage and the gal too in the end. I was shocked and surprised to see that Spiderman guy has still not grown up in all those years and still weeps when his girl friend says that their relationship is not working out, Just because he kisses a cute gal (She is HOT), he weeps as if somebody has snatched his candy and he has got no more money to buy anymore, who made him Spiderman yaar? Movie: You really want to know how Spidey 3 is? sure? OK OK. Mumbai is really a patriotic city and its people too (Read “me”). I was glad and surprised (These mumbaikars keep me surprised all the time) to know that the seating was free and the lights man was more than glad to give me a hint knowing that I am a first timer “Sir jitney upar ja sakte ho chale jao”. I didn’t get opportunity to have my traditional burger as the movie was without a break Lĭome:the moment we enter the theatre – I, my wife and even my daughter was all smiles to see the dome, its nothing but a semi circle in front of the seats which is all white with rectangular cloth sewn together to make a huge huge screen, it was really confusing till they really started the trailers as what and how will we see anything they show. Hang on – we did had dinner at that “Sarsoon da saga”dhaba they have inside the multiplex, where they sell one normal parantha 30/- bucks but it tastes worth it - that too specially with a yummy typical Punjabi style “Rajma”. I had never heard nor seen anything like that earlier, so I too was sort of keen to know what exactly this “Dome” thing is, In real life I know what a dome is but how come a theatre? Where do we sit? On the roof or on the floor and where do they play the movie? On the roof or on the floor? So with lots of confusion I shelled out 400/- (Guess what, my kiddy’s entry is still free – LOL).
To my shock and ultimate horror she says “Let’s go”, that too with a smile – can you believe it? Even after knowing that they are charging (hell) 200/- for a seat in their Dome theatre.
And have landed in Mumbai last week so enjoying the city and the mood as the real work is yet to come my way (may be next week) – Who knows?Īnyways, as I had already seen one movie in the Imax and saw that they too are still running Spiderman 3 which I some how missed while in Hyderabad, I kept my eyes open to see that it shud run one more week before I cud watch it and guess what – one fine Friday not so long after we watched that sugar free romance, wifey asks me “ab kya karenge shaam ko? Koi kaam to hai nahin?” – I said just casually knowing that she will turn it down anyways “Lets go to IMAX and watch Spidey 3”. Disclaimer:what happens when a guy (read a simple guy) lands in Bollywood just like that? Either he dreams of making it big in movies or he simply watches them as and when have some spare time and money.
